Instructions:
- Park vehicle on level ground, engage parking brake, and place wheel chocks behind rear wheels.
- Loosen front wheel lug nuts, raise the vehicle with a jack and support securely on jack stands, then remove the front wheel.
- Apply penetrating lubricant to lower control arm fasteners and allow to soak.
- Support the lower control arm with a jack or stand, then remove the fasteners that secure the control arm to the subframe and knuckle.
- Carefully lower or pivot the control arm to access the bushing; remove any retaining sleeves or brackets as required.
- Using a bushing press, hydraulic press, or appropriate sized sockets and hammer/press setup, press out the old bushing from the control arm.
- Clean the bushing bore in the control arm and inspect for damage; remove rust and debris as needed.
- Lubricate the new bushing lightly with manufacturer-recommended lubricant or soapy water (if appropriate) and press the new bushing into the control arm until fully seated.
- Reinstall any sleeves or retaining components, then reposition the control arm and reinstall fasteners loosely.
- Torque all control arm and wheel fasteners to factory specifications with a torque wrench, then reinstall the wheel and lower the vehicle.
- Perform a test drive and have a professional alignment performed to ensure proper steering and tire wear.
